Abstract
This Set of Ancillary Materials for General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers and Advanced General Chemistry (Honors) was created under an Affordable Materials Grant.
Materials include three case studies with instructor keys designed to increase rigor and connect chemistry concepts to real-world applications: Electrolytes (linked to electrolyte drinks), Bomb Calorimetry (linked to biofuel development and environmental concerns), and Precipitation (linked to water remediation, concentration units, and solution stoichiometry). These resources aim to support differentiated instruction for honors and majors courses while remaining adaptable for general chemistry sequences.
